The Council of Bishops

The Council of Bishops with the Presiding Bishop exercises legislative authority for the Old Roman Catholic Church in North America between meetings of the Synod of the Church. In addition, the Council of Bishops sits as the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of Appeal in judicial matters referred to it from the Dioceses and Institutions of the Church.

The External Affairs Committee of the Church

The Council of Bishops created the External Affairs Committee as a standing committee of the Church in 1995. The duties of the committee include preparing proposed policies, procedures and guidelines for establishing intercommunion and other types of affiliation with other ecclesial bodies and to conduct the ecumenical relations of the Old Roman Catholic Church in North America.

The Commission on Ministry

The Commission on Ministry is charged with the duty of preparing policies, procedures and guidelines for the screening, testing, interview and acceptance of candidates for Holy Orders and the incardination of clergy and prelates into the Church
