The Society of Augustinian
Restorationists The Society of
Augustinian Restorationists (SOAR) was founded by the Most Reverend Frederick
L. Pyman, S.T.D. as the Congregational Society of Augustinians in 1965 to
observe the "Precepts of Christian Catholic Practices" especially in the
Christian obligation of intercessional prayer on behalf of others; to seek a
daily relationship with God by a close awareness of His presence as taught by
St. Augustine; to share the Enlightenment that comes from that relationship. In
order to promote and restore religious worship based upon these principles and
the Rule of St. Augustine, the Society was incorporated as the Society of
Augustinian Restorationists on January 30, 1984 as a non-papal apostolic
Catholic group of clergy and lay persons dedicated to serving God and His
people by united them in Christian fellowship with one another and with the
Lord. The Society invites applications for membership in amy of its four
categories of membership: Clerical, Religious, Lay and Associate.

The Father Donald R. Currie
Memorial Education Fund The
Right Reverend Donald R. Curriel, a priest of the Diocese of Michigan and the
Central States, was a leader in the formation of the Council of Independent
Catholic Bishops to promote unity of purpose and action among the several Old
Roman Catholic ecclesial bodies. His leadership in ecumenical affairs and
social ministry led to his election as Bishop-elect of the Western Regionary
Diocese in 1989. He suffered a tragic death in June 1990 prior to the scheduled
date for his consecration to the Episcopacy. The Fund was established in
October 1990 in his memory to provide educational grants to persons preparing
for ministry or who desire to enhance their ministry through further
education.

The Society of Saint
Mark The Society of Saint Mark
was founded in Detroit, Michigan in June 1980 as the religious and charitable
sgency of the Diocese of Michigan and the Central States. The Society commits
itself to promoting the Scriptural commands as a way of life. It actualizes
this commitment by an active outreach ministry to communicate in a compelling
way the work of the Church in response to the Gospels. The Society dedicates
itself to furthering a non-papal expression of Catholicism by facilitating an
ecumenical ministry to Catholics and other Christians impeded from full
