Please join us in beautiful
Derby City this fall for a day of spirited
exchanges of perspectives on the forces that are
reshaping the Church, posing both challenges and
opportunities. Keynote speaker Dr. Gregory Holmes
Singleton, Professor of History at Northeastern
Illinois University, will introduce the questions
that have perplexed the Church from its beginnings
to the present: authority, models of
ecclesia, the role of women, the influences
of secular culture, and other timely subjects. To
date, other presenters include the Most Reverend
Raphael J. Adams, Vicar General of the ORCCNA; the
Right Reverend R. Stewart Wood, IX Episcopal Bishop
of Michigan; and the Reverend Anthony R. Kosnik,
canon law scholar, author, and Director of the
Pastoral Ministry Program at Marygrove College in
Detroit. Registration for this unique, ecumenical
event is open to clergy and laity who are concerned
about the current state of the Church and its
future. The registration fee is $25 and includes
lunch. Deadline for registration is Friday, August
18, 2000. For more information and/or registration,
e-mail us at info@orccna.org.
